Lenore started this whole adventure, so we will start with her. Sister to Jan and aunt to Sarah, Lenore is retired and currently resides in Burford Ont. Her home is one of the studios, where many of these marvelous creations have been brought to life. She is also the 'Master Resiner'. Lenore started experimenting with acrylic pour painting first in 2017, introducing it to Jan and Sarah (as well as the rest of the family) while on the yearly family camping trip in Algonquin.
Jan is a retired Palliative Care PSW, currently living in London Ont. After a renovation, Jan was looking for art work to hang on her new walls and decided to give pour painting another try, having seen what Lenore was producing, and remembering her experience while camping. She produced a number of pieces for herself and effectively filled her empty spaces, but found the art rather addictive and a lot of fun. It wasn't long before there was more art then wall space. Jan's home is also used as a studio and class space.
Sarah is the only lady still working, though it keeps her out of trouble that way. Sarah does most of the work on the socials and keeps up this website. (hi!) Chances are if you are talking to us through emails or messenger, you are speaking with her.
The group itself was formed in 2020, after some realization that we had no where else to put our pieces, and still desired to create more. Our mixtures and techniques are ever-changing, and experimentations are a constant. We have pulled inspiration from various artists, but our work is very much our own, made with love and a signature feel. We hope you love our pieces as much as we have loved making them.
